Microsoft Gives a Sneak Peak of Windows 10

Microsoft announced this week that a Windows 10 technical preview would be available October 1st. This new version of the Windows operating system has some improvements and some changes. One of the main features is the return of the start button and search menu from Windows 7 and before. Windows 10 seems to blend ideas from Windows 7 and Windows 8, but keeping the same design and look as in Windows 8. This preview is only available for people who have signed up for the Windows Insider Program. Microsoft hasn't said whether Windows 10 will be free to update to from current Windows 8 devices. But recently, Windows 8.1 was free to download which has never been done in the past with any other windows software. The last update of Windows being free is leading some people to believe that Windows 10 will be a free update. The full Windows 10 is rumored to be released in mid 2015. With it only being a technical preview, improvements can be added.
