Microsoft Unveils Microsoft Band


Microsoft recently released a watch and a fitness band called the Microsoft Band. It can track the amount of steps you take, your heart rate, and you can also access apps like Twitter and Facebook. This band also has a UV sensor which can track how much sunlight you are getting. You can also read messages and look at other apps normally on a smartphone. If you run a lot, it has a GPS tracker that can tell you how far you have walked or ran. It only costs $200.00 and it works on all operating systems. (iOS, Android, Windows Phone) You can also download an app on your phone that will link up with the band and recommend exercises to try. Right now, it is only available in the U.S. Microsoft is hoping to compete with other smartwatches and other fitness bands on the market today.

Pin Drop App Launches In U.S. App Stores




A new app called Pin Drop has launched in the U.S. It is an app and a website that lets you save, organize, and share locations. It was first developed in London where it was a success. The app was created by Andy Ashburner who had previously helped create another app called Summly. Pin drop users can add audio and video files to a specific location. Pin Drop has bee very popular among hikers, skaters, snowboarders,etc.

iPad Air 2 Pictures Reportedly Leaked


Pictures of the iPad Air 2 have been reportedly leaked. The new iPad Air and new Mac computers are going to be unveiled at an Apple event on October 16th. The new iPad Air is supposedly going to be thinner and lighter. It also features a new home button with Touch ID which has been seen the new iPhones and the iPhone 5S. It also reportedly going to have the A8 processor which is in the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. This is an upgrade from the previous iPad which had an A7 processor. The pictures were leaked by a Vietnamese blog called Tinhte. This blog has been reliable with other leaked Apple products like the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5S, and iPhone 5C.

Microsoft Gives a Sneak Peak of Windows 10

Microsoft announced this week that a Windows 10 technical preview would be available October 1st. This new version of the Windows operating system has some improvements and some changes. One of the main features is the return of the start button and search menu from Windows 7 and before. Windows 10 seems to blend ideas from Windows 7 and Windows 8, but keeping the same design and look as in Windows 8. This preview is only available for people who have signed up for the Windows Insider Program. Microsoft hasn't said whether Windows 10 will be free to update to from current Windows 8 devices. But recently, Windows 8.1 was free to download which has never been done in the past with any other windows software. The last update of Windows being free is leading some people to believe that Windows 10 will be a free update. The full Windows 10 is rumored to be released in mid 2015. With it only being a technical preview, improvements can be added.
