Microsoft Reportedly Getting Rid of Nokia and Windows Phone Brands
Microsoft is reportedly getting rid of the Windows Phone Brand and Nokia. Microsoft recently bought the Nokia Company in April for 7.2 billion dollars. Former Nokia CEO stated that he doesn't see the Nokia brand sticking around for a long time. Microsoft renamed the company Microsoft Mobile. Microsoft has planned to use Nokia to continue promoting its Window Phone Operating System. Microsoft will also drop the "Phone" part of its "Windows Phone" branding. Microsoft new branding will just be with the Windows logo.

This is good as Nokia doesn't seem to be getting much money anymore.
ReplyDeleteCool article; I can't say I'm surprised that this is happening. I had almost forgotten that nokia phones existed.
